All blog comments are silently moderated and reviewed by a Tesla Motors blogmaster before being published. Though moderation is not a precise science, we’ve established some guidelines to help clarify the fuzzy line that separates a postable from an unpostable comment. Your help in keeping the blog forum an open and considerate exchange is appreciated.
Please do:
- Discuss electric vehicle technologies
- Offer corrections to data on the website
- Comment on recent blog posts
- Link to interesting news and blog articles
- Post crisp, interesting comments
Please avoid:
- Debating topics outside the electric vehicle arena
- Posting Tesla Motors proprietary information
- Discussing Nikola Tesla’s personal life or ethnic/cultural background
- Profanity
- Insults
- Personal remarks
- Advertising, shameless or otherwise
- “Me too” posts
- Numerous stream of consciousness comments
- Comments that are longer than the blog post
Anything that falls into the avoid bucket will be heavily edited (always noted) or deleted (silently). Any fishy words will be replaced with “halibut.”
From time to time, readers submit blog comments or links to articles that speculate on our technology or business strategy. We want to encourage an open exchange and will publish many (but not all) of these comments. Publishing them to our site, however, does not constitute an endorsement or verification of accuracy.
Please note that not all questions that are posted will be answered. Please respect the fact that we have trade secrets and we would like to keep them.
