Another 60 kWH post

Until I get delivery of the Model S, I have nothing better to do other than check this forum and the motor club every day. I am trying to get an idea of how many 60 kWH reservations are out there and more specifically the ones with air suspension, since they will be built next. I realize it will be difficult to do, since not everyone visits these forums. There a bit a pieces in the different threads, but I was thinking about just posting your reservation number and 60 kwh config on this thread, that way maybe we can get an idea of how many are out there and better yet how many are in front of you. If I missed a thread already addressing this topic, please let me know. I will start

No pano roon (we live in Phoenix, AZ) or kiddie seats.

My wife aranged a personal factory tour last August, and a Model S loaner for the evening/next morning. It was amazing. Learning more, or driving it makes the wait all hat much harder, it really does.

We are not alone.

Finalized today at the Westchester store after a test drive for my wife since I test drove in the summer tour. She loved it but the Tesla rep guy talked us into 60 kw instead of the 85 as my wife was having a hard time paying that extra 8k for longer range we may never use. I gave in to the 60 bc happy wife = happy life.

Website says Feb/March delivery but have a feeling it will be later.

DFibRL8R, when is your expected delivery. I'd like to see the color combo....down the road from you

Threebaers - I'm also in Deerfield. Our cars are nearly identical, but I'm a click behind you (5339). We have one sig in town, and I know someone else who got the 12/31 email for his P85 but hasn't gotten the car yet. So, at least 4 of us will own soon.

Hello 60 kwh club, while we wait forever to get the car could people give some reasons for choosing 60 instead of the 85? I chose a 60 because I did not want to pay for something I would not need, the range is adequate for 95% of my commute, and since I would plug it at home at night there is no hassle factor to go to the "electric station". And I would not be racing a M5. Still, I am finding hard not to say "just give me the performance series with everything in it". Thanks.

P16666 my rationale tracks yours. Every once in a while, the inner child makes me second guess my decision to forego 85, perf, or sig., but its just too much. I strongly believe that for daily driving, the 60 will feel plenty fast.

I'd be nice if the thread would stay with posting the reservation numbers. Currently the post count is very close the the number of 60Kwh orders posted. Makes it easy to keep count. I remember a long time ago there was a lengthy discussion on why people were buying the 60. Since it is completely buried and this place does not have a search feature I guess the topic is going to fall astray.

I wasn't going to pay 10K for the extra 60 miles for a possible 1 trip a year when I could buy airline tickets and car rental for my wife and I for the next 8 years at that price. That and living in the Midwest, I will not see any significant super chargers for 2 or 3 years. By that time my wife will need a new car and she can get the GenIII with the largest battery. I will be reserving a GenIII as soon as it is announced.

The day it gets delivered I plan on putting a deposit on the X then trading it in when ready. Couldn't see spending the extra 10 grand for the 85 but starting to regret it every time I see one on the road!

@jjrprod - nice config, mine is the exact same. dont see many Blue w/ black interior...and I have yet to see a picture with these options.

I too sometimes regret not getting the 85, but hope it will all be worth it in the end. I cant wait to see the 60s get some love. My march/april delivery estimate feels like a long way away.

Chose 60kWh for 3 reasons:
1. 200 miles round trip is my worse case for single charge trip.
2. 60kWh is the best value: higher MPGe than the 85kWh & it can still supercharge
3. Won't over-extend for P85 MS so we can buy Model X w/ biggest battery for longer road trips
