I love the look and the concept of the Model S - much more applicable to everyday life than the Roadster. But can't we have a bit of both with a convertible version of the Model S? I can only imagine the purr of the electric engine coupled with wind in your hair and sun on your face. Talk about driving perfection!

This is from June 24, 2010. There are more recent quotes from Elon regarding the Model X (to be revealed in 2011 and available 2014) and two vans (mini van and utility van), but I could not find any more recent mentioning of the convertible.

I would gladly give up trunk space for a convertible.
The cabriolet in the future, would get me right out of my S. Especialy if its a hardtop.
