I know that the company is currently engaged with creating lower cost fully electric cars, but I was wondering if anyone knew if the company had future plans, however distant, of designing a fully electric motorcycle. Imagine the range that would be possible on a single charge if the battery only had to power a bike and a single passenger.
Assuming they could get an efficient batter down to size. It would be in the press had they announced anything like this. I do know if they did I would probably be a future customer. As technology improves no doubt there will be Tesla motorcycles, scooters and more.
And the Roehr eSuperBike:

While true that some car makers also build motorcycles, it is also true that many more do not. You'll never see a Ford or Chevy cycle. Kawasaki built airplane engines, as did BMW, but Honda started with motorcycles. Toyota never went that route. Just because a car company makes a cool product doesn't mean it will make motorcycles. And also importantly, a cycle has to have a much smaller battery than the car, so size cancels this out. You still will have either range, speed, or low price, but not all three.
BMW restarted by making kitchen pots and pans after the WWII bombing. That's what I call coming a long way.
