We know the city's but not the locations. LA is at Space-X, but the rest ?
The Harris Ranch Location is probably close to the current Tesla Charger at Harris Ranch on the Northbound side of Highway 5.
The Tejon Ranch location must be in the Tejon Commerce center. If you are heading Southbound on Highway 5, this Commerce Center is the last major commercial area before you head up into the Grapevine. It is near the intersection of Highway 99 and Highway 5. We always stop at the Starbucks or the In-N-Out Burger there. You will know it by the giant Petro sign that you can see from 2 miles away. However, from the photo in the presentation last night, I see a white picket fence. I may be mistaken, but that looks like the Northbound side of Highway 5 across the freeway from the Petro stop.
I hope that's helpful. I'll look out for both of the superchargers on my next trip down Highway 5.
The sites will have to be specified and made as public as possible, in order to be useful. A regularly updated list, and updates to the NAV software, are called for.
I saw the one in Folsom on Sunday at the National Plug In Day event. I took pics of it in action.
check out my gallery.
Barstow: 2812 Lenwood Road, Barstow CA 92311
Where are the solar panels and canopy at the Folsom supercharger? I didn't see any pics including it.
My guess is the map in the car will be able to find them, and check their status.
Esper, Based on the photos, it appears that the SC in Folsom is at the Premium Outlets parking lot along Iron Point Road (across the street from a Subway Sandwich restaurant. I don't know if this location has solar panels though.
kublai; Not every station has solar panels, and not every station has the "spaceship" sign/marker.
Brian H- Not every station has solar panels, and not every station has the "spaceship" sign/marker.
Yet. Pretty sure they'll be up quickly now that the "curtain has dropped."
I love the fact that my town is on the 2-year Supercharger deployment map. It looks like Tesla is using the suggestions that we discussed here and on TMC for possible locations to provide national coverage. Bravo, Tesla! Keep cranking out those Model S's. Looks like my P5058 has been pushed into 2013 (was Nov/Dec). So much for wishful thinking. ;-)
Are there any details on timing and location for the East Coast SCs? I've looked around for info with no success.
Red dots means by end 2013. Gray dots means in 5-6 years. See maps on supercharger unveil video.
Maybe I'm not reading the 2-yr & Long Term Supercharger maps correctly, but there are no superchargers planned at all for the LA to/from Phoenix I-10 corridor. As a matter of fact, it looks like anything along I-10 is not planned until the "long term".
So any travel to/from LA that requires I-10 will not be able to be done until the long term and then it will have to be done using a northernly route which adds considerable time and distance.
I didn't see any solar panels at the Folsom location. Not sure if they're going to install them later. It looked like there was room for another charger or panels to go up next to it. There are empty posts and marked off sections next to it as well. I'll have to go back and take more pictures of the area.
Tesla needs a Supercharger along the 101. I am curious as to why they are not putting some of these Superchargers next to Rabobank locations (like the Roadster HPC's). This would seem to make sense.
Can someone compile the list of addresses? Looks like we have heard a lot of rough information but only one actual address (thanks stevenmaifert). Can anyone else fill in actual addresses?
Here is the list:
Folsom : need address Gilroy : need address Harris Ranch : need address Tejon Ranch : need address LA : need address Barstow : 2812 Lenwood Road, Barstow CA 92311
Please reply if you know the actual address and are willing to share.
LA is Hawthorne:
3203 Northrop Avenue Hawthorne, CA 90250
Folsom : need address Gilroy : need address Harris Ranch : need address Tejon Ranch : need address LA : 3203 Northrop Avenue Hawthorne, CA 90250 Barstow : 2812 Lenwood Road, Barstow CA 92311
Esper; Not every station will have (associated) panels. The overall n/w capacity will be more than enough to supply all stations even if in use full time. For Solar City the SC stations are 'opportunities' to get as many panels up as possible.
According to recargo.com, this is the address of the Tejon Ranch Supercharger:
Tejon Ranch: 5522 Dennis McCarthy Dr. Arvin, CA 93203
Harris Ranch: 24505 W. Dorris St. Coalinga, CA 93210
We've got addresses for the first 6 over at plugshare.com. You can filter for them on the web - we're bringing that functionality to mobile soon. I encourage you guys to make sure our data is accurate and post photos if you've got 'em!
Josean1968, That picture of the Tejon Ranch SC isn't quite right. I was just there last night. That's the correct location, but they only have one (not three) supercharger installed. Here's the photo I took last night.
Josean1968, thanks for the great information! Now we just need Folsom and Gilroy addresses. I can't wait to try one.

George B or exec team at TM, take note. Not saying the addresses doesn't help. It would seem more tangible if you just told us the addresses even if you also told us we can't use them yet. We are already excited about the brilliant plan of SCs and it already feels real given the announcement and demo. Staying silent about the fact that they can't be used yet isn't helpful.
I already truly love driving my Model S Perf. The SC installations caused me to take a quantum leap in how useful it feels.
Ahhhhhhmm. leaking information before it was ready is why TM has received so much flack lately. How about we just wait until the stations are actually ready to use?
Las Vegas address?
@mboedigh That is exactly my point. The announcement said the first 6 were active. TM supercharger page says "Six stations are currently active" which led me to believe I could just drive in and use one of them. I am suggesting they say something about them not being ready yet so no one starts a road trip only to find out that they aren't really active.

Tesla Supercharger - Premium Outlets 400 Iron Point Rd Folsom, CA 95630 Energy Source: Solar
Notes: The charger is located at the western-most edge of the Premium Outlet Shopping Center parking, just off of Folsom Blvd., adjacent to Iron Point Road - across the street from Subway Sandwiches. There is currently one charging station, but it looks like they are beginning construction for a second one. There is no signage yet - no "EV parking" signs, etc. There was a gas-powered pickup truck parked next to the Tesla charger when I stopped by. I don't have a Model S, so I don't know if the charger is activated.
Thanks, Tam. That finishes existing SCs.

Looks like all of the locations are nicely located near as many food and shopping choices as possible given the areas involved.
