This is my personal car that I picked up on March 1, 2013...it was black...and now it is....pearl white satin
So, why the black paint in the first place? Did you have a change of heart?
Wrapping isnt robust enough (within a year or two it will look like crap), i dont see how this could be a factory option...
How much did it cost? Only way I could see it being of any value, is if you wanted a different color in a couple years. Otherwise it doesn't make sense. You order the color you want. Why order a color you don't want and then change it. Unless you changed your mind and it was too late.
Well the "option" that I was referring to with Tesla would be the blacked out chrome exterior, red brakes, more carbon fiber and possible matte/pearl paint (in both black and/or white)...NOT a wrap obviously. I ordered the car in black thinking that I would be able to keep it clean at all times but unless you drive a black car indoors it looks like shit the next day...and it was driving me nuts trying to wipe off fingerprints and such everyday...so I wrapped it
@glenster - Those options I could see. I too would like to have chrome blacked out, a body color, or carbon fiber. Same with the brake calipers. That would be cool. I hear you on the black which is why my girlfriend ordered a white one. We have a black vehicle now and a little dust and it looks dirty. Nice job on the wrap!
glenster. Thanks. I never liked the chrome trim under the doors. When I have my MS ‘armored’ I am going to have them vinyl cover the door chrome in matt black. From the photos it looks like you live in Agoura Hills or in that area. I am close?
I live in Encino which is not too far from Agoura Hills...
