Hey folks,
I'm a first-time poster, but a long-time lurker.
I just ordered vanity plates for my Sig and thought I'd start a thread to see what other folks have gotten.
After much deliberation, I got "HC FREE" (California).
I've never had vanity plates before, but as an early adopter, I'm voting with my dollar (ok, many dollars). I want to spread the word for Tesla and electric cars in general, and I figure a vanity plate is a good way to introduce the driving public to an option they may not be aware of. "Hey, that there Aston-Martin is hydrocarbon free! - oh wait, what's a Tesla?"
Cheers,
- Dean
PS: I tried to get "AC 4 ME" but that became unavailable while I was in the process of checking out. If whoever got that is on this forum, you would have missed out if you were a minute slower ;)
+1 Shannon. I like both the plates.
I just ordered ROFL GAS in California (a twist on LOL GAS which I've seen on a Roadster). Here were the others on my short list, none of which were taken yet in Cali as of the drafting of this post:
1NOPEC1
AC GUZLR
DC GUZLR
PLG+PLY (using childrens plate)
PLUGPLY
PLGPLAY
Waiting for the plate to be delivered but I ended up with ELCTRFI.
Mine just got approved for KCK-GAS in WA.
Fremont factory delivery on 12/15. Tesla FedExed my CA plates to me on 12/28.
A Dallas Morning News reporter just called me to ask if I would let him take a picture of my two cars side by side. As I wrote above..
Prius plate say LES GAS
Model S Plate Says GAS LES
but alas my S has not been delivered yet and the new plates are sitting on the kitchen table.
I asked him to call me back in a month!
SUN RUN
Since the kWh consumed by my Model S will be less than the kWh produced by my solar PV system.
How about 1.21GW ?
Or maybe save that for the DeLorean electric
Yeah, several have the jiggawatts plates.
Massachusetts has special EV plates where the first two letter are EV. I am thinking something like EV OLVE, EV LOVE, EV KIWI, or EV IL :). Any other suggestions?

@ kalel65
I already have that in NY. Currently on my Prius waiting for the MS next month.
maybe voltswagon
EV OKE?
EV OKAY
Here's a new twist on vanity plate names - not so technical as most of the posts relate t...but will certainly give some a smile and it also relates to electric. I just reserved mine in NY - FRNKNSTN. I was thinking about ITS ALVE but figured FRNKNSTN is more straight forward.
Here's a thought for all the women owners: IHVETMS.
Here are a few more that I was thinking about (too much time on my hands you say! - lol)
BICHN S
AMPEDEV
SCIFI S
GR8TECH
LCTRC S
TTLYAMPD (if your state allows 8 letters)
CROFTHYR
S 4 US
ITSALIVE
ITS ALVE
RNGE300
BUTIFLS
EV SLED
AMPTCPTN
MYLION
SILVRCLD - for silver color of course.
MY TM S
@Brian, EV OKE looks promising. Thanks for suggesting.
TESLAFY
Wanted to get KCKGAS, but couldn't bring myself to do it--it's available in WA...
Got my plate Thursday in Florida TEZLA. I had it put on the "support law enforcement" special plate because it color matches the signature red car. Those FL plates in off-white and green just don't make it. Who knows, it may save me the sure-to-come speeding ticket.
I went with NO CARBN (California plates). My Tesla is powered by 100% renewable electricity.
Dvclifford, how about the St. John River plate?
I live in the UK where, unfortunately, custom plate options are *very* limited due to mandatory plate formatting. If in the US, I would have got:
SAUD OFF
(As in the Brit expression "Sod off!" with a tip of the cap to the oil-producing Saudis).
SHOCKIN
JUICED
Gasfree
CO2NOMO
Just bought CA: 1WBPMSQ
Just arcane enough to look random. Stands for "One Weber Per Meter Squared" which is a magnetic flux density of one Tesla.
I applied for KICKGAS in CO, but it was denied as "potentially offensive". I reapplied for KCK GAS and it's been 3 weeks and no word yet.
Try KM GASS
That's, "Kiss My Green", in case you were wondering.
AMP2OHM
For me!
@Epley, I just received KCK GAS in Seattle for my Sig-red. I'm surprised its still showing as available in WA as it was approved about a month ago. I would have gone for KICKGAS but that was taken. If you see me driving around Sammamish, say hi!
NOCRUDE
You think FUOPEC is too much? ;-)

Was at the Park Meadows store on Friday afternoon with a friend and was shocked to see how many people were coming in, many of whom only recently learned...
