I just got my car, and it is terrific. Really amazing. However, a glaring omission is the fact that you can't dial a phone number by number. You can only say names. I called Tesla because I thought I was doing something wrong, and they told me that there is no such capability.

This is obviously a safety issue, as hands-free dialing of numbers is much safer than using the touchpad. It is also rather basic, something that has been available on Toyotas and Hondas for a long time. They said that they are considering adding it in the future. It is surprising that such a rudimentary feature was overlooked.
