Model S Design Studio looks VERY odd; it's like the color overlay is slightly off-center...the result is a sort of double-vision.
Looks fine to me. But where's that red shown at the open house?
the spam count at the moment is 0!! First time in years ...
The red is for Signature series only.
No, there was a different red for the production models. Some Scottish-sounding name ...
Not up in the Design Studio, tho'.
On the Forum homepage, at the bottom half of the page there used to be links to various geographic area themed threads. They are not showing any longer.
For example there is an active Florida thread that I can no longer access via the forum homepage.
By the way, wouldn't it be more efficient if you listed the webmaster email address under contact information, rather than hoping folks reporting bugs will find this thread buried among all the other threads?
The Clubs section of the forum homepage now is available.
Spam attack in this form, needs to be cleaned up
Website feedback has spam. Good work, spammers!
Bad work, site admin!
spam infestation is spreading in Roadster forum. Please do something to stop those bots from registering as users.
What the heck is going on in the "Electric Miles" page? Every time I log in it reverts back to about 15,478,000 miles. Is it me or is the counter stuck? Should be over 16 million by now. I realize this is a really minor point, but is still irritating.
Here's a private thread (owners and reservation holders only) with a few statements and suggestions regarding the Tesla forums:
Just like to acknowledge the wonderful absence of spam in General; I was getting tired of flagging 10 or 20 of them a day!
I hesitate a bit to mention it, since previous spam filters have quickly been defeated here. Fingers crossed!
Yes, I'd like to echo Brian's remarks. I certainly appreciate the effort expended to get those inappropriate postings promptly removed.
Hi Larry and Brian -- We will double our efforts to eliminate spam from the forums. Thank you so much for calling the issue to our attention.
I know that moderating a forum is a thankless job.
But at least we're giving thanks now.
I want to thank also for great job of keeping forum clean now. I don't know how it is done, because there still is no change in registration method, so it should be easy job for bots to register in (I just made alternative account to check if there has been any improvements there. Still just "enter username, email, check email, login using link")
Unless there is something done "under the hood" that I'm not seeing I suggest that you do enter some captcha to make sure the thing that is making registration is real person. I would believe it makes your job easier. It is not failproof method, but should reduce the amount of successful spammerbots trying to hit this site.
I saw that parts of the site were down for maintenance last night. Though I was REALLY hoping I'd wake up to a complete design studio, I am pleased with the progress that's been made on the user pages.
Keep it up! :)
Indeed. For a long time now at this time of the weekend there used to be 20-40 spam messages in general forum. Now there is none. I don't know what you did, but it clearly is working. Slowdowns are also gone, pages are again responsive and quite fast (not fastest out there, but fast enough).
Down for maintenance yesterday, then I began today waiting 20+ minutes (timed) for page fills. Now sped up again. Weirdness.
I'm again seeing two ghost "new threads" in main page. This time they are supposedly in general and Model S forums. Checked every page, no new threads. Had this issue before, but someone there managed to clean those ghost threads away.
Yes, the main page "New" flagging is semi-busted again. Seems to occur after posting.
I also have noticed that in main page you can tell that there are new posts when "latest activity" column poster changes, but in many cases that isn't reflected by "new posts" -flag. Also many times there are quite a lot more of those new posts in the forum area than is shown by new posts.
This is one thing that has not been working very well entire time for main page, it gives you hint that something has changed, but not accurate information what. I'm guessing db is lagging in refreshing that info for user. Maybe db indexing should be investigated?
Maybe it is due to server caching?
Regarding the new "Pricing & Options" page, someone noted:
For those using an iPad (or iPhone), the signature banner is almost hidden. Touch the red patch at bottom right, then touch again when it appears at right. Now you have additional columns that correspond to signature and signature performance.
Maybe you want to fix that.
Did someone attend to that typekit script? Thanks! It was driving me crazy.
The Forums page shows 6 new threads under Model S, but there aren't any.
Hi everyone, I just recently placed my order for a 85w MS and had a few questions regarding charge stations.
Since I live in Austin and have a few...
