I was told tonight that Allstate doesn't insure the Tesla Model S.
Does anyone have recommendations for good insurance companys in NJ?
Abby, did Allstate tell you that? I've been talking to my agent in CA and they do insure them, they just don't have any info in their system to base pricing on. He told me to get him the Serial # of the car, which I still don't have because it's on order but I did get him a serial # that I got from my local store. He was able to get me pricing with the Serial # however it was for the Signature Series, which I am not getting. They can also give you an estimate based in the price of the car. Hope this helps! Jose/ CA
Tell them to check their db for both 2012 and 2013 model years. Telsa's policy on that has some terribly confused.
My NYS Allstate insurance agent told me there would not be a problem.
GEICO in NJ added my model S no problem, not too expensive.
This is about the 5th thread on Insuring the Model S. Couldn't we just add to an existing thread instead of starting a new one at the drop of a hat?
More like the 9th or 10th.

I was quoted from Allstate $ 2400. 00 per year with a $500. deductible due to some of it being financed through Penfed. Does anyone have a better rate. What $$ and what company?
some people won't take a hint
Hint: find another insurance thread and post there.
