As it turns out, Volkerize is in the urban dictionary:
How did they know?
Maybe it just caught on really fast.
volkerized: To have your flaws pointed out to everyone when you screw up requesting helpful information.
Actually, that's not my attitude or intention, and I hope I don't come across like this. Quite the contrary: I can get nasty when someone else behaves like this, e.g., making fun of a forum member b/c of the form of their post without relating to the intention of the message.
I must agree, I have never seen Volker volkerize.
KJR4235, thanks! :-)

To the contrary, Volkerized's definition should be: To have you pointed out in the right direction when need information

Urban dictionary's term was clearly inspired by someone else.
Our Volker has enriched this forum. He is a gentleman and a scholar.
Ok, thanks again, we clarified that! :-) Enough is enough... *blush*
Wait, I still need to commend Volker!

Is the gluhwein flowing in your neighborhood yet Volker? I was wondering if it started on a tradional date. My favorite holiday season ever was when we spent a several weeks in Germany in December. We have been trying to attempt to copy the recipe ever since. I think that it must just taste better in a frosty town square on a clear cold night.
Sorry, I couldn't find the gluhwein thread. ;)
Captain_Zap, Glühwein season tends to start with the first Advent, with the Christmas markets opening, but as far as I know there is no definitive traditional Glühwein date. As far as I'm concerned, it's got more to do with the weather than with the calendar!

You're definitely on the right track there... :-)
Imbibers are all partying over at the "Please ignore" thread.
ThgNDim is so far off base he's gonna get picked off.
Just a treat for the European readers - American slang with a baseball metaphor!
