I was notified today to update my cars software but am already running 4.2. Does anyone know what the newer update is and what it addresses ?
Same happended to me. I was told by the Los Angeles service center that the engineers may have noticed that your first 4.2 download did not take completely so it was sent again to correct what did not download properly. I don't know if that is true or not.
It's a minor update, just bug fixes, nothing noticeable.
When I did the 4.2 update over a week ago, I got an error message that the update failed and that I would get some future notification to re-update. I have not gotten that notification. But the version number displays as 4.2 and I have the 4.2 features (proper pano roof control and no display sleep). Still waiting for the re-update....
4.2 has at least 2 versions that I know v1.19.41 & v1.19.42. Last week .41 installed in my MS and the following day .42 installed.

My car had v1.19.42 after the 4.2 install when it complained about failed install. Could have been a bogus message, although it came up twice. I waited while it was installing, unless it did a quickie install after I dismissed the error messages.
