4 More Superchargers – Coast-to-Coast Free Electric Highway Nears Completion

Tesla’s Supercharger rollout continues to accelerate. (65 and Counting)

The last time we reported on Tesla’s Supercharger status, 61 sites were operational in the US.

It’s now 4 days later and guess what?  4 more Superchargers are online.

Here are the latest sites to get electrified:

Savannah, Georgia – 6 Charging Stalls
Albert Lea, Minnesota – 4 Charging Stalls
Holbrook, Arizona – 4 Charging Stalls
Macedonia, Ohio – 6 Charging Stalls

That coast-to-coast free electric highway is now perhaps 3-5 Supercharger sites away from completion.  Elon Musk should probably start packing his bags soon for his epic coast-to-coast trip, don’t you think?

Can't wait, driving to Maine in August from Las Vegas.

Yep, expect to see lotsa new diary cross-country threads, soon!

We should plan a rendezvous!

Received this invite from Tesla this afternoon.
"We are excited to announce a new Supercharger location in Macedonia, Ohio. To commemorate this important milestone for Tesla and our Midwest community, we would like to invite you, your family and your friends to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and celebrate with us Thursday, January 23rd at 10am."

A straight shot east down Rt82 for me and only 30 miles. Will not miss! Need the Hagerstown, MD Supercharge (under const)to open for the @TeslaRoadTrip 2014 "All Superchargers Lead to DC" event on President’s Day weekend.

I went there today to check it out. It was like being in the zoo on the wrong side of the bars. During the 15 minutes I took to top up there were at least a dozen gawkers who cruised by to watch me and two other MS charging! Pretty hilarious. See you there on Thursday. Straight shot 18 miles up route 8 from Akron.

So who will be the first to make the trip? I don't know the current record coast-to-coast by EV travel time, but at the current pace of installations, the "world record" time could theoretically be beaten every week as the SC gaps close up.

Now is your chance for a fleeting entry into the record books! We live in exciting times.

I'm officially inviting all Model S owners who are stopping at the Buckeye, AZ supercharger to my house for chips and salsa. Restaurant chips with heirloom tomato salsa... :)

@AR, you got enough parking?
;-)

NKYTA;
Not simultaneously.

Do you have enough parking available?

@ShockDoc: Was that you in the white MS that cruised by? I was probably just walking back to mine that was charging in Macedonia on Saturday. I chargedy again on Sunday and had two police officers stop by to chat. Definitely a friendly place!

Just seeing this map makes me want to go out and buy a loaner S tomorrow.

Must.wait.for.Model.X.... grits teeth

@AmpedRealtor: Is Buckeye open? Don't see it on TM's SC page.
