My wife drove the car for the first time yesterday and found the seat belt very uncomfortable. She is short so moves the seat forward. This causes the belt to be against her neck. Anyone else have this problem or have a solution?
No...And I'm 5'9", and drive like an old lady, i.e. I pull my seat way up. Feels totally normal.
I have the same issue. Keep trying different seat settings (high, low, forward, etc.) The driver seat belt rubs against my neck unless I sit up straight.
I am 5'8" and I had another issue ... the belt was too tight. For almost all cars I drove, I could loosen the belt, albeit slowly, when I want to get some breathing room between the belt and me. But, in the test drive Model S, once clicked, the seat belt couldn't be relaxed. I am not sure whether this is the case with all cars and not just the test drive one.
yes same problem here. The seat belts are too tight. When you click it, it seems to be ok. But once you move or you stretched, the seat belts do not retract. The rear seatbelts are even worst. They have a lot of resistant.
Same issue as krogers. The anchor on the pillar in most luxury cars can be moved up and down to accommodate this. Problem accentuated in the Tesla S by vertical orientation of the right side attachment. Should point more forward.
I'm 5' 3 and have not noticed any issues when I did my test drive.
5' here. Keep the seat low but pulled forward. The seatbelt bothered me for about 1 week when I had to put my jacket collar over it to keep it from rubbing against my neck. I was just thinking the other day, that somehow it hasn't bothered me in months.
My wife complains of discomfort with the seat belts a lot too.
I also get complaints from people that are in the low 5' range that the rear seat belts are also very uncomfortable.
Surprisingly, my son who is less than 5' tall, does not complain in the back seat.
This is definitely a blemish in an otherwise wonderful car.
My problem with the driver-side seat belt is that it pulls too hard. The tension in my previous car (MB SL500) was much softer. I wish there were some way to loosen the tension in the MS, at least a little bit. I tried a few different clips, but they were a PITA to adjust or move -- and sometimes they rattled against the B-pillar. Any ideas out there??
Someone suggested this item in another thread. I bought some and seems to work fine.
