Of the top 5 cities for EVs Atlanta is the only city in the south. Atlanta is also the only city that doesn't have a SuperCharger (SC) within 100 miles. Additionally, the plan to outfit routes to and from Atlanta with SCs is very poor.

Basically, the immediate plan is to make travel via I-85 North and I-95 North a priority in 2013 & 2014. i-75 South and especially I-75 North doesn't get a nod until 2015.

I think there first priority is to connect Atlanta to civilization, and then the rest of the country.

You are correct - there are connections to the I-95 corridor to the northeast through Charlotte, and to the southeast through Savannah or thereabouts. But nothing else for a while.

I see your point about I-75. One around Macon and another around Chatanooga seem to make sense.

On the bright side, once they complete the fall buildout you can get to hilton head, charleston, and anywhere else on the I-95 corridor, and football games in Birmingham or Auburn (depending on your allegiance) are already within range.

To people who live in California, anything not within 100 miles of a coast is simply ignored. :-[

Yeah! Like Las Vegas!

We need some SC's on I-20, I-85, and I-75.

Looks like we'll be able to go north on I85, but that doesn't help if we want to go to Florida down I75 or I85.

I think that Model S buyers from other US cities will emerge in large numbers. And therefore the position in this top 5 will be challenged by onther cities. Next year there just might be a few other cities in this top 5.

And in Europe it must be Oslo as the most important city for EV's.

I doubt that Atlanta if in the top five cities for Tesla. San Diego probably has around 1000 models S's. Atlanta?

I'm sure San Jose has way more Tesla than Atlanta or even San Francisco. There are two MS parked in the parking lot of our small 200 person office building and one more is coming. They probably meant SF Metro area instead of City of SF.

Seattle has the highest market share.

1/100 new car registrations is a Tesla Model S, the highest in the country.

Here are projected (market research) EV sales for the top five US states for the next ten years:

California is predicted to have more sales than the next four states combined. Thank you California.

Texas will drop to the bottom if you consider Austin a California city. ;-)

Can't distinguish Tx and CA on that graph.

Oh, now I see. Sorry.

Boston is a very tech-minded city (I think). When will the people of Boston start buying EV's in high quantities?

And next year there might be a Chinese name on that list as well (Beijing?).
