Interesting.. Alot like the conversions I drove for years in the late 80's early 90's "most recent a 1993 Escort Wagon" with 20 6v batteries. I used DC traction motors in those to avoid the cost of an AC/DC inverter. and the high cost of AC motors compared to those offered by Advanced DC
Was fun then to build and tinker on those things, now I'm ready for the turn key version hehehe!!

I am considering model s , drive bout 100 miles a day , are there real cost savings with model s , i get about 22.6 mpg with my current lexus ls 460 (2007)...
