Start London is a 12 day festival in Clarence House, Marlborough House and Lancaster House gardens designed to show people what a sustainable future looks like and how simple steps can achieve this. The festival will include exhibits, entertainment, markets, demonstrations, music, comedy and debate.

Roger Saul and Kevin McCloud have launched 10 16) a series of eco car challenges which will run up to the Start Eco Car Spectacular on The Mall in the shadow of Buckingham Palace on 12th September 2010. With the Mall closed off to traffic and open to the public, the expected total number of visitors is in excess of 150,000, during the
garden party and parade.
In the lead up to the Start Eco Car Spectacular, two challenges have already demonstrated the ability of today’s eco cars. Now all eyes are on the finale ‘The Chip Fat Train Relay’ which ends in London with the Start Eco Car Spectacular.
