Car ran over debris, ablaze in one minut ( not tesla)

I prefer my tesla any time, if i am to run over something. Better to have time to park and leave the car, that having to throw oneself out of a burning inferno.:-)

I notice there is no mention of the brand of car!

debris, btw, not debree (no such word).

@Brian H

Dude, stop being a Grammar Nazi troll...It's unbecoming.

Brian is doing Runar a favor. Helping a non-native English speaker spell correctly.

Besides, it's what Brian does here and he's been here doing his thing here far longer than you have. If it bugs you, ignore it.

Great post Runar! Thanks!

@Brian H @just an allusion

I had it coming. :-)

I knew the word wasnt quit correct, but as I posted from my ipad (happy I managed to get the link correct, and write somwhat understandable), and I was in a hurry, I chose to risk getting a grammar correction in stead of not posting. :-D

I felt this was an important post. It show the real and important difference and between a Tesla and an ordinary ICE.

@Runar - great post. I have same trouble with the Ipad typing.

Don't worry Brian get's us all at some point - I highly respect his technical input and the spelling stuff I take as an added bonus. He is an guardian angel compared to my English teacher back in high school.

As an OP you can correct your initial post later. There is edit link somewhere near top left corner of the page. Comments can't be fixed after submit.

@Timo Ah, of course. I forgot this. :- Thanks

I think the referenced article illustrates the biggest shortcoming of the Tesla Model S: It doesn't burn badly enough to remove all traces of the car it started out as. These Model S fires barely damaged the car compared with the destructive conflagration that ICE car fires tend to progress to.

That's right; once the fuel lines and tank get involved, it's pretty much guaranteed to end up with not much more than the steel frame. I wonder if any TM front-end fires end up being repairable.

Actually, Runar does much better than the translator of that newspaper.

It's google. Can't expect much from that.
