Now off to make some choices... P779

Got mine today #8042...I feel like a kid at Christmas....

Thanks timdorr and jat! I am in Athens. Looking forward to getting together with our cars!

My time to build email came in today.

GP#7870

This pretty much sums it up for me right now:

Just roughing it, that's a bit over 7,000 notices in a bit over 3 months, so about 2,000+/month! Minus, of course, those #s which cancelled or switched, etc. So somewhere between 1,500 and 2,000 per month.

Last week, I really was throwing a dart at a wall (albeit a well-educated dart) when I guessed that TTB e-mails would resume today.

Glad to see it's coming true for some of you.

I didn't get it entirely right, of course, I'm P8961 and still haven't gotten my email. ;-)

If expected production is 400/week, though, we should start to see average groups of 400+ TTB e-mails go out each Monday from here on out. (The "+" is to account for expected cancellations/deferrals. Based on experience to date, I'd guess that they initially send out at least 450 e-mails each week).

Guess I can wait another couple weeks and can continue boring my family with my inability to decide on a color.

About 1,000 emails away based on the highest posted number of #8,042 and me standing at P#9,045. Wouldn't that be a great Thanksgiving gift? I will wait with rallykeeper!

Time to build, 8234

Time to build, 8371.... Gonna be a great week!

Wow! 8470 here, nothing yet! 99 away!

Time to Build. #8282. P85.

Bump

We're at 8371 reported so far. Any higher?

@lajollan
Cool, 8467 here, also nothing yet. 96 Away!!!
We should both get ours at thesame time!
Good luck.

Chuck;
Average rate of notifications should roughly equal new-cars-onto-the-line count. To hit 400/wk produced by Dec. 1, that many/wk should be started now. Yours should be well within the next "bump"!

@chuck

Where are you? We can get ours the same day!

Hi lajollan,

We are in Riverside, CA

Thanks Brian, that is what i was thinking also.

I was thinking that the estimated delivery would be around 4/27/2013, based off of the cars produced, and my estimate of the 400 per week starting on 12/15/2012. I guess that we'll see in a few months.

Well, Elon said output would be 400/wk by Dec 1, up from 200 at the start of Nov. And that's not the max. If the MT COTY award boosts orders the way he expects, he'll get production up as high as it takes. I think he's "wagered" a 1 million share bonus in a few yrs on getting 2013 production up to 30,000. He keeps emphasizing that his guarantee of 20K was a minimum.

PS;
That's just one of the bonus conditions, not the whole thing.

Got my TTB e-mail today at 2:01 pm Pacific. Configured by 2:07 Pacific (I didn't notice the e-mail for 4 whole minutes!!!)

P8961
85kwh Non-Performance
Fully optioned
Brown and Tan, Obeche Matte

As an aside, when I finalized, it said that expected delivery was February-March 2013. Seems like they could hit my predicted March 4th delivery date and even my best case scenario date of February 20th.

Magical thinking prevails!

Got "It's Time to Build Your Model S" email today. P#8,766

OK I'm late! Just got my email, #8470. Gotta decide what to do.... looking at a Porsche also. I know...BOO!

Got my "It's Time to Build Your Model S" email today. #8872
Completed my configuration and they're estimating February/March delivery

By the way, the MVPA comes quickly. I finalized at 2:07 pm and had my MVPA by 2:21.

I'm now all electronically signed and counting the days until delivery.

Time to Build P#9,045. Finalized: Grey with Grey interior, Pano roof, 21' silver wheels, tech package, parcel shelf, and February/March Delivery! South Carolina will have another Tesla Model S!!!

P#8756 notice was received in the batch with rallykeeper and Alex K. Going with Pearl White, Gray Leather, 60 kWh, Obeche Matte, Tech, Air Suspension and Sound Studio. Only drive 50 miles a day but like that under-six second 0-60 time - not a lot of four door sedan company there.

For those that are still configuring - the Obeche wood has both gray and tan colors in it and matches both the tan and gray interiors. You can't really tell that online, go see it in person if you possibly can.

@rallykeeper - I thought your timetable calculations were way too optimistic when you first posted them, but now think you have Magical Powers! Don't let me down dude.

Got my email TTB email today as well. #9053 for those who are counting. If expected delivery is Feb/Mar. 2013 for @rallykeeper #8961 who is 100 cars in front of me, I can imagine I would be at the back of that window.

Does anyone have a sense of how long does one has to make this decision? There are forces at play in my world that would make this a much easier commit in 4 weeks time.

Just got off the phone with delivery specialist. You have as much time as you want, no deadline.

Above @ schumonster

Oh and my MVPA says that it's a 2013 model year.

I'm sequence 8665 and I got my build email

Got my notice to build at 3:59 CT #9083. Definitely going with the 60 kWh version but still on the fence with active air suspension and the pano roof.
