Norwegian deliveries

I reserved my P85 #2145 on 27. December. Yesterday I decided to sign up for the Signature wait list. The Signatures are all gone of course but I thought that maybe enough defers to open for a chance. The eternal optimist. Of course, TM UK office confirmed the wait list is long, but that I am on it.
Curious about when they expect deliveries will start in Norway, especially now that production is cranked up. I was told for now they plan 12 months from my reservation date. That means maybe for Christmas. Bummer!

Anyone else with info about Europe arrivals?

@Lance Westin

You should take a look at the thread called: "Post your newly assigned VIN's".

There is a graph with red dots. And it shows that there is progress in the weekly number of assigned VIN's.

The other option is start learning the Norwegian language.

I wonder if the Norwegian language is a difficult language to learn for a person who already can speak Dutch, German and English. Maybe a Norwegian Tesla friend can tell me more about this.

My impression is that Dutch and German speaking people pick up the language relatively easily when they move here. Brits are generally slower and usually keep a more pronounced accent.

We English in Norway have a huge disadvantage learning Norwegian. The vast majority of Norwegians speak excellent English. Whenever we try to speak Norwegian the Norwegians reply in English. Still, just using children's television and not going to language school, I was fluent in Norwegian within one year. It is not a difficult language to learn.
Now, can we get back on topic?

If anybody in Norway finds an article about the car sales figures of the second week of September 2013 (in any media), please post it here in this thread. Thanks

It might be a good idea to request Norwegian people to post some photo's of their Model S in this thread. That would be great.

The newspaper/media that provided the news of the sales figures of the Model S and the VW Golf during the first week of September 2013, was that

Would it be possible if somebody in Norway would contact them by phone and ask them to do the same for the second week of September 2013, and publish that article in the current week? That would be great.

Norway is a special country for Tesla Motors. Because the real sales figures are much lower than in the US, therefore it might possible to sooner reach a higher market share than in the US. And this news could give a boost to the people in other countries as well.

Meaning that Norway could trigger a real boost in EV's sales in many European countries.

Check webcam from Drammen port:

Not too good resolution but with many containers maybe the MS can be spotted :-)

Some nice photo's of Model Ses there. No link with September sales figures in Norway?

Model S sales figure for the first half of September 2013?

My guess would be: 250.

And your guess would be?

My guess would be 185

In Switzerland in the first eight months of 2013 45 Model Ses were registered (apparently all in August 2013). That's about a third of Norway's 134.

Silver P85+ Pano + everything.

The Tesla factory is building your Model S

Finally, no more looking at "Sourcing parts!!!"

Thanks for posting the link. You are great.

Wow, for the second week more registrations than the VW Golf.

In the second week of September 2013: 161 registrations of the Model S in Norway. And a total of 322 for the first half of September 2013.

But I thought that in the first week of September there were 134 registrations of the Model S in Norway? Are these figures correct?

Different sources and maybe some overlap could explain minor differences in absolute numbers, but the relative numbers are mor interesting and should be 100% comparable.

Article in Google Translate format:

"- Imponeringen from us has just begun, says Norwegian Tesla CEO."

We have just begun to impress, says ..

@Hijan @Notre

"In the second week of September 2013: 161 registrations of the Model S in Norway. And a total of 322 for the first half of September 2013."

I find it a bit curious that the total for first half (322) is exactly twice the figure for the second week of September (161). I don't think that is a coincidense. That must be an error in calculation. They didn't look for the figure of the first week (which was 134). Instead, they just multiplied the figure of the second week of September by 2. This looks too obvious to me.

What do you guys think about that?

These are official data. It is coincidental. Look at the other figures in the table. First week numbers may have been revised.

Another possibility could be that, they don't know the exact figure of the second week of September, but they do know the exact total figure of the first half of September (being 322). And what they did is they divided it by 2.

And that would mean that the total for the first half of September is correct, and that's actually what it's all about.

We have three figures for the first two weeks of September: 134, 161, and 322. Mathematically one of them is wrong. That is for sure.

Likely the 511 for ytd is probably valid. Not bad considering deliveries only from August....

@ Winnie796

I am right after you with EU2145/VIN16851 and also I got the wonderful message today that sourcing for parts is finally over and my car is in production.
Look like delivery before mid-November after all. That was indicated when I talked to TM Oslo two weeks ago.
The excitement has moved to a totally different level!

Still looking for some parts for my car.... #2440

@ Julius, I understand you're impatience completely.
But hey, it can be worse.
I'm #1435 (NL), If I would live in Norway I would probably get my S this week.
But also still searching parts for my car which should be delivered mid-november.
You guys run way ahead of us, even already have a supercharger network.
Just a little jealous ;-) and impatience as well.

I saw the doubling too - on about 5 of the lines - strange numeration going on in there. I would say that five lines having exact doubling is a math concern since the laws of chaos would guard against that happening.
