Personalized Plates

Just received my new Model X personalized plates today. Yes, there is no car yet, but I wanted to reserve the plates. Here's hoping the car won't be too long a wait.

Hopefully other MX soon-to-be owners will post their upcoming plates here as well.

Do you have solar at home?

Do you have solar at home?

Yes, we have a 15 KW solar array that currently charges our two Chevy Volts, so our MX will truly be "XERO CO2".

Excellent. I was hoping so with that plate! ;-)

I just got a quote and while we could get some use out of an installation we really don't have enough Southern exposure to make it worthwhile.

Cheers!

My [Model X] plate is mounted on an F150 FX4. Of course I was hoping to have it on the Tesla before I had to renew the registration, but that clearly will not happen. I have the plate mounted inside a clear, flat plexi-glass cover, which will keep it new and clean.

I could not come up with anything catchy that others have not already taken, but I thought of this one first! (At least in VA.)

On my wife's interim car as we wait for our X...a bit of a play on words as our kids are Lacrosse players.

Is her name Tes by any chance? Triple word play. :-)

Very lax.

ronmerkord, waitasec... You can get a personalized plate in CA that isn't tied to a specific vehicle? That might be convenient...

Red Sage--
No, in California you have to tie it to a vehicle initially, and depending on the DMV office, it has to be within 90 days. What I did for now is to put it on my ranch truck, or at least assign it to that vehicle. Once our Model X is delivered, I can then switch the plate over to that vehicle.

Oddly enough, later on there is a form you can fill out to retain a personalized plate for a small yearly holding fee. Just can't do it on a new plate.

I had a particular plate, but lost it when the car was stolen and subsequently destroyed about twenty years ago. It was for a phonetic version of my name. I doubt anyone else has ever got it, but it would be interesting to learn if I could 'reserve' it again...

I'm going to the DMV tomorrow or Friday anyway. I'd might as well check, right?

Strange thing... Last year when I went to Mississippi, I learned that someone had actually named their child after my car all those years ago. No, I ain't da pappy!

'MXMASTR'

Good one Brian. Even better if your name is Mike.

We'll see if anyone gets the double meaning I'm alluding to. ;-)

Mixing station, for a recording session? Mic'd?

Not my own, but how about someone do LOLOIL

NOGAS-X ;)

I suppose that works too Brian. ;-)

I was referring, however, to Mixmaster Mike who is the Beastie Boys' DJ.

Not part of my universe. Never 'eared of 'im. Not up on pop-rock-rap, in descending order.

I just ordered our plates a few weeks ago-
My husband has the model S... "CTCHME'". (Think the police may like this one:)
I ordered "CHRGIT" for my SigX 597 :) - nice as I also like 'charge it' on the credit card... So he says!!! Lol!

I will opt for either ones of those
VO2MAX
FREEDCO
MODELX
ALSETX
F4CKCO2

which one is the best?
