Tire wear warning

I have a performance model with 21 inch wheels. The rear tires wore out with less than 8k miles on the car (one blew out on the freeway). That was far sooner than I expected. Tesla tells me that these tires should be rotated every 4k miles, but I didn't know that until now.

There is a couple threads here addressing tire wear with the 21 inch wheels. You can search for them using volkerize.com.

Just put upper links on my P85+ this afternoon and heading to the alignment shop tomorrow morning. I'll have the car at the Port St. Lucie SuperCharger opening along with example arms for viewing/trying.

I had the K40 installed on my car and the installer noticed that my 21-inch rear tires were down to the cord on the inside. I'm at 9k miles. I also had not been aware of this issue ie. the negative camber angle of the rear tires, the importance of rotating the tires at 4-5K, etc. I wish this was better emphasized at the time of purchase and glad I could get them replaced before they blew out.
