I had 2 ideas for a personalized plate. In my indecision, I found that someone else snapped up my second choice, so I went ahead and ordered my first choice and registered them for my current car.

Has anyone gone through the process of transferring a personalized plate from one car to another without any changes to the ownership of the original vehicle that got the plates? I'm wondering if there will be any sticking points with the State.
