Please use this forum topic to share your ideas for new website features or to let Tesla know if you find a bug. Thanks!

As one engineer to another, the design studio, options pricing, feature pages, etc are all pretty damn slick. All HTML 5 I'm guessing?

ck;
Here's the start of the page source:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

<!--[if lt IE 7 ]> <html class="no-js ie6" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en" dir="ltr"> <![endif]-->
<!--[if IE 7 ]> <html class="no-js ie7" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en" dir="ltr"> <![endif]-->
<!--[if IE 8 ]> <html class="no-js ie8" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en" dir="ltr"> <![endif]-->
<!--[if (gte IE 9)|!(IE)]><!--> <html class="no-js" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en" dir="ltr"> <!--<![endif]-->

Don't know if that tells you anything ...
;)

That's the Design Studio page.

Hi Tesla, the new "Options & Pricing" page was long awaited and very welcome, and the information that is on there is all very well (although some details are up to debate, obviously). But what's more important is the information that is lacking. The missing information turns into misinformation, as can be seen from several threads that have been very active since the page went online.

I made an effort to summarize the problem here:
http://www.teslamotors.com/forum/forums/tesla-you-need-fight-these-fires...

Thanks.

I have no idea if this has been mentioned before, but the forums definitely need RSS feed support! It's quite tiring to have to manually check for new posts. (If someone has figured out a way to do this please let me know!).

An alternative would be to have email digests, but that would be a distant second preference to RSS support.

Happy New Year to the Tesla Family!

Ditto Frank.

And best wishes to everyone else as well.

BTW, I see your phone number is in the Palm Springs area. I'm leaving for Desert Hot Springs on Monday. No Tesla yet though.

Brian H wrote: The Forums page shows 6 new threads under Model S, but there aren't any.

I'm seeing that same. I had similar problem earlier too, but it got fixed. Don't really know what fixed it though.

@Lyle;
I leave a tab open to the Forums top page, and periodically open it and refresh.

BTW, @Tesla, the Model S phony New Threads count is now up to 7. And spam postings are starting to reappear in General.

A new batch of spam on General. I've flagged some, but the rest didn't connect very fast, so I haven't reviewed them. We'd done so well so long. Oh Well.

My opinion - take down the pictures of the alpha model s in the gallery and replace with pictures of the beta

Also all pictures of the mock-up prototype that was build on MB platform should be removed and replaced with beta. The model S doesn't look like prototype, too many differences might give people wrong idea of what the car should look like.

I'm now seeing nine ghost "new" threads, seven in Model S, one in Roadster and one in general. Don't know the cause, but it starts to get irritating. I hope reason is found and this gets fixed soon.

Since at least Brian H has had similar experience as me this far I suspect this is not just me for this problem.

I only see 7 and that's only for the Model S. Maybe we need to just eat our cookies :-)

Does anybody know of resources that give locations of tesla HPC stations? I have the recargo app and plugshare app. I was wondering if there was more. Thanks. Frank Landfield. 760-617-7666. Enjoy. :-)

Trying to access http://www.teslamotors.com/forum/forums/82nd-geneva-international-motor-... brings me to a page telling "access denied". What's wrong here ?

Access costs $5,000.

@Brian
If you mean that one needs to be a reservation holder : I AM :-)

So what's your next suggestion ?

Give your friendly Customer Satisfaction rep an earful?

Flame-mail Elon?

FOIA request? (Thru DoE, since only government bodies are covered).

;)

@Timo, Sudre;
I have 8 in Model S, 1 in Roadster, 1 in General.

I think it's individual: the indexer loses traction on the occasional post by the viewer. I noticed that it persisted in showing "New" a few times after my own posts, and wouldn't clear. They seem to be piling up.

WORSE is that I now am getting (on my ol' 2.7GHz P4) a 50-80 second script-running CPU peg-out on EVERY new Forum page display (100%, dropping to ~15% when it clears) which locks the screen. This is way beyond irritating. The scripts that seem to be involved are the usual suspects: google-analytics, typekit, pixel-quantserve.

This is NOT downloading time; I'm on a 15mbps ADSL line, and my Local Area Connection icon shows little activity during the hangs. It's pure script tail-chasing. Does NOT happen on other sites, however graphics-rich, etc.

Anyone notice the electric miles counter slipping back right after midnight? Looks like it gets to just under 18.6 million then drops back to the start of the previous day.

Page loading is now back to normal. No script messages "waiting for XYZ.com" etc. Thx!

It's probably been discussed before, and I'm not volunteering, but how about a volunteer Tesla appointed Forum Moderator. I have beta tested many a game and that technique has worked just fine on those forums after the moderator signed an NDA.

The only thing a volunteer moderator would need to do here is delete spam that slips thru, combine multiple threads of the same topic and put posts in the proper forum.

I only mention the NDA possibility because I am assuming like any beta test there is a good chance there is a hidden forum here for the test drivers... but I could be wrong.

Here's what the Forum page shows me at the moment flagged for "New" postings:

Only the General ones by Sudre_ at the top are real.

And now after exiting General, viewing Model S, and coming back, it shows me General as:

Which is wrong (there are no new postings).

Given the Feb 9 roll out, maybe you should add a Model X topic at the top level?

I'm new to the Tesla Forums. Could someone tell me if there is a way to 'search' these forum messages?

Thanks.

Use google. Search whatever you seek and add site:www.teslamotors.com/forum at the end.

There is no search in the site itself.

Hey, Tesla webmaster! Time to add a top-level Model X forum, don't you think?

And while we are at it: It couldn't hurt to add a Model T (Bluestar, GenIII) forum to the top-level as well, already at this early point in time. You can give it a preliminary name and rename it later, if you like.
