Where are the Beta's and what's new & notable?

There are 30 Betas built and 20 more to be made. Let's track them reporting:

1. Vin Number
2. Location & Date
3. Options installed
4. Color
5. Comments on anything notable i.e. aero rims, new colors, interior changes, pack size, etc.

We can assume that any missing have been sacrificed for the 5 star crash tests!

It's not new, but one cool thing I noticed the last time I saw the beta in Bellevue was that the rearview mirror was frameless. I thought it looked really cool and I hadn't noticed that on my previous visit.

The mirror is pretty cool hope they do not add things to it. My BMW mirror has my home link which is annoying.

joefiorelli: Where did you hear that 30 cars were already built and 20 more on teh way?

Was in the Bellevue store this morning and found out they are expecting a new Model S in mid March with test drives starting in April. No hard dates but good enough to make me smile.

And for the folks in Germany, VIN 0023 (current Bellevue Model S) will be traveling there next.

@Discoducky. It is a reason to smile for me too. In fact, it is a reason to grin :-)

The white beta seen in this video from the factory tour last Fall is in the DC showroom now (confirmed by license plate only):

Credits to Rich Bucich for some great photos; the video of the acceleration runs makes me smile.

One thing I learned on my showroom visit this week is that they are planning including a manual shade for the all glass sunroof. I don't know if this will be included in the cost of the glass roof or an additional option (hope not the latter).

The Options & Pricing page is explicit in this regard: "All Glass Panoramic Roof [...] Manual sunshades and wind buffet arm are included."

@jcadman22 thanks for dropping the link to my photos, I sure had a great time taking them (and the video)!

I've had this question posted on the Questions thread for a couple days without any responses. Thought I'd try it here to see if I have any better luck from the folks who've seen the betas:

Does anyone know what the back of the front seats material is for the standard textile interior? for the leather interior? Is it black plastic? Thanks.

@ddruz@aol.com, I don't think anyone has seen the "standard textile interior" yet because TM isn't offering it for at least 3 months after the first signature car ships to it's new owner. The textile interior isn't even offered for those signature holders so no need to showcase it just yet and I have seen a good number of beta's at this point... :)

I didn't touch or focus on the back of the leather interior a whole lot but I "want" to say the entire seat is wrapped in leather but maybe not of the same quality leather you place your backside on.

Hope that helps?
