while we are waiting the last hours...

... it's a hard time- the last days without "S"... there is a black hole around teslas newsstream and it's getting kind of boring, while at the same time it's get hot and we all get very nervous.
Maybe we can bring in some fun in the meantime and post cool-Tesla-Videos-which-are-new-to-the-community..
I'll start with this... ok, it's a roadster BUT against a Lambo...
please fix me with your thrilling videos here:

condensed findings and recommendations:

A study recorded the frequency that birds left their mark on cars in five cities around the UK, and found crimson motors were targeted the most.
Green cars were found to suffer least, followed by silver, while white vehicles escaped more often than black in the analysis of 1,140 cars in Brighton, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Bristol over two consecutive days, to see whether colour made a difference to birds.
Researchers who compiled the results found 18 per cent of red cars were marked with droppings, blue 14 per cent, black 11 per cent, white 7 per cent, grey/silver 3 per cent, and green 1 per cent.
Leading car polish experts Autoglym said the damage to vehicle paintwork arose not from the acid or alkali in bird faeces, but from paint lacquer softening and expanding to form an uneven mould around the dropping which produced a dull patch. Grainier textures from seed eating birds produced the most blemishes, so pigeons are worse for motorists than seagulls.
Advice on removing bird deposits from vehicles

1. Remove at the earliest opportunity

2. A moist cloth should be used - Autoglym Bird Dropping Wipes are ideal - to gently lift the deposit from the vehicle surface.

3. If the deposit is dry or doesn't lift easily, place a moist cloth over it for ten minutes to soften the deposit

4. Dispose of any cloth or wipe used to remove bird droppings immediately and carefully wash your hands, as bird lime can harbour diseases.
Signature Red is target #1??
Which reminds me, the "other red" is apparently called Sunset Red. Target #2??

I noted that study and despaired. Ok, not really.

Maybe just need to keep some moist cloths in the frunk?

And now, 1 less 1 2 go 4U:

I can't believe I 8 the whole thing ...

Anyone notice the SECOND Model S in the background behind Steve's car?

"Tesla Founders Series #1 - Owned by TSLA Director Steve Jurvetson"
(Photos by Russell Engle)

In fact, some of the shots are of the second Model S...

BrianH. I have enjoyed your posts showing the time banner. Not to be critical but what makes you think George B, Elon M, and all, are going to deliver the “S” at exactly 3:30PM? If they are late, will you post a negative time banner?

Sorry, rhetorical questions. Time moves very slowly when you are waiting. That said, I will miss the live broadcast. It seems my priorities are a bit out of synch with my wife’s.

That's when the website says they will be delivered.

epley, in his comment below the pictures Russell states that "Next to [Steve Jurvetson's car] is a Signature Red Beta Vehicle I did not photograph." In fact, I agree with you, a few shots show the Beta vehicle.

I'm guessing that there will be a speech or two and possibly an additional presentation/celebration starting at 3:30. I doubt the keys to the first car will be handed out just as the party starts. They'll put in a little drama. I would!

I should have said fob instead of keys!

Petero- Like Einstein said: “Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.”

Not long 2 wait now:

82 Minutes to go! Go go go--- more than two years of waiting...

There should be a behind-the-scenes-getting-ready-peek live webcast ... just so that we can start the party. :)

- Prash.

@Brian. Thanks for posting all the milestones.

But, seriously, do you get any other work done dude?

- Prash.

cerjor, I think that was LL cool J in "deep blue sea"

I'm with Prash--how does Brian H do it? (I've loved seeing the countdown). Brian?

I look at the clock and figure whether I'll be able to access the site at an interesting numerical sequence. Sometimes I miss and have to wait for another. Nothing magic about it! ;)

You could have made your life easier by tampering with your computer clock... Actually that way you should even be able to create "impossible" displays. ;-)

There is. Precisely NOW. :-)

And the Tesla model S hit the road !!!!

Brian h , what did you think of the sig red with the grey wheels

Great show! I love how loose and (dare I say) disorganized these press events are. Tesla is so gosh darn adorable and approachable! Love it.

CHARMING! That's the word i was trying to think of. :)

Actually, I did a bit of that tweaking on the last few, after reading your discovery of the "client-side clock" dependence.

I notice now, just after deliveries have begun, that the Countdown Clock didn't switch to a Count-Up Clock. It's stopped and greyed-out at 0:00:00:00. Oh, well.
Heh; so, I just backed up an hour in time, to see what would happen, and here's what it showed:

Time Travel Is Us!

Model S is the future already in action... that's the way Tesla do the time travel machine.
