Air conditioner in hot muddy TOKYO summer

I still just before oder a roadster for my daily commute and fun. last uncertainty is how air conditioner is effective in really hot and sticky down town Tokyo summer. Any suggestion from hotter and humid town?

I live in San Diego, and I find the air conditioner to be perfectly adequate. The only downside is that you can't set a temperature, you have to fiddle the fan and A/C knobs to get the setting you want.
