Please use this forum topic to share your ideas for new website features or to let Tesla know if you find a bug. Thanks!
Wouldn t it be easier if the most recent blogs would be on the first page (i.e. reverse the order) instead of skipping to the last page?
Vouteb. It certainly would be more convenient for me.
perhaps I'm not the first one with this idea for your electric mile counter:
set up a rank table on your website
Odometer, country flag, VIN number
Would be fun to see the VINs with the most driven miles (kms), if it is possible to read out the odometer automatically via the GSM module.
If it is possible you have the permission for my car, VIN 329 (EU)

Click on the '# new' link and it takes you directly to the first new entry.
Does anyone know when the tour will make it to Portland? It appears to be next on the tour, but won't hi-light.
hwye;
Yes, like a lot of things about Portland, it looks good, but doesn't work. Maybe someday ...
;)
Constructive criticism on the front end design: Tesla seems to opt for a 'bubbled' front end, both on the roadster and the S. The original roadster front end has been changed so it is now more sleek and attractive. The original S prototype is much better looking:

The latest S photos now has it 'bubbled' out and awkward looking.
That picture you found was not at any point Model S design, it is just some artist sketch, a guesstimate of what Tesla is doing. It is also ugly and aerodynamically bad drawing.
Look here what the car really looks like: http://www.autoblog.com/photos/tesla-model-s-development/
Again I hope for more strict moderation. There was a lot of spam coming from person using nic ifilm77.com. I suggest you block his access to this website in future.
While I like having strict moderation I didn't mean that forum messages needs to be moderated before showing, just that some obvious spams get deleted ASAP. Maybe even before moderation, if enough people press "flag as inappropriate".
my explorer is having problems with some of the pages. specifically the model s forum page is not presenting itself properly. Is anybody else having similar issues?
don't know what was wrong but am pretty sure it was on the server side (i.e. not my system). in any case its cleared up for me now ...
I had some odd problems yesterday, apparently some blog and forum comment fields were mixed up. I got a "your message is waiting moderation" message after posting message in forum and there were buttons "save" and "preview" at the bottom instead of usual "submit".
Also graphics were messed up a while. I think there were some problems in website yesterday.
The "New" flagging is totally messed up. Not clearing, then clearing, then counting all the posts as new, then ...
Complete mess.
"new" -tags in Model S forum are not getting cleared up. For example "reservation tally" -thread claims that there is message from Brian H
April 15, 2011 - 11:31am
by Brian H
which is not there. Instead I'm seeing a lot newer messages and one from Brian at 12:31pm.
Five other threads in that same forum also have "new" posts even that they have none.
It seems that when I sort the messages with recent posts I get a real message count with real "new" flags, but as soon as I go look at anything else it reverts to five threads marked with "new". Fortunately going thru the real new messages (by sorting and then going to look at them) I got it marked as no new messages in main discussion screen.
It acts like that information is saved somewhere and doesn't get cleared properly.
Also, to repeat a previous request, PLEASE put up a site search function. Or even one limited to the forums.
Please please please bring in a search function.
In the URL address bar I see that HTTPS is written in red and has a red diagonal line thru it. What is the problem?
The "New" flagging is now truly pooched. Clears, doesn't clear, shows ridiculous numbers, etc.
The blockquote format tag doesn't do anything; it just puts plain, unindented text into the post.
Well, the functionality seems to be fixed, but now it takes ages to load the top level page, while it goes off to figure out how many unread articles there are in all the lower level pages. I liked it when the refresh was done manually.
The top page shows me nonsense numbers, like "229 new", etc. It's boogered, IMO.
For some reason main page (with "Discussions" -link at the top) shows me also bogus "new" messages, and for some reason also "Model S" forum does the same until I sort the messages by last reply.
I'm guessing some sort of overflow/timeout in database, and it just gives up trying to figure out which messages are new. May I suggest checking database indexes? They can make huge difference in database performance, and also speed up general webpage usage.
I'm getting a "cannot authenticate server" error while I'm checking these forum on my iPhone. It uses the Opera browser if that helps.
Website forums are now completely bonkus. I see in main page "Discussions" and "Clubs". Also in general -forum there is locked sticky "Moderation guidelines" which I can't access, but which is visible to me. On the main page all the new-flag numbers have gone nuts.
Same here Timo. I think those other forums are for registered owners, not us web-heads :P
The Model S forum's New numbers are 100% wrong, too. Not updating at all.
I was just planning to write that they work fine now, wondering if they fixed something. I guess not.
One thing that's "bugged" me in recent days is a new message with time, date and replier showing in a forum heading, and it not having it show up after entering the forum. Then hours later it would appear.
