Great question. The creation date also shows JULY 19, 2012 which is obviously incorrect. Tesla folks must have done a clean-up. They need to do more of that on the spams.
michigan created the orginal, and could have deleted it, then started a new one.

I started a new thread because someone other than me deleted the previous thread. You can still view the old thread through the previous link, but it does not appear in the "Model X Forum" section. This also happened to the Model S reservation Tally in April or May of 2011.
Not deleted then, but not listed, either!
Interesting. When I try to look at www.teslamotors.com/forum/forums/model-x-reservation-tally-0 I get "Access Denied". Maybe someone made it "owners only"?

@Brian H - the 1,274 must have been a typo. Also, do you know what the 2014 Model X sales target is? If I recall, it's something like 10,000 to 15,000 units.
2014 is the first year of production, and I thought it was just 5,000, growing to 15,000 in 2015. But I think that is all very "soft" and subject to update without notice!

I reserved mine on July 2nd - have P# 10,048. I'm not sure how someone who reserved a production model would be only 1297?
