I thought I would be able to control what time of night my modelS charges. I can't find that in the menu/settings anywhere. Is this available yet, or coming with an update?
It's #39 on the punch list
steve; The only devices available so far are your alarm clock and slippers.
Steve - Apparently Tesla felt it was more important to develop can't live without enhancements like HomeLink Location Awareness and Calling from Maps than it was to get out a long advertised feature like Charge Timers :(
@tesla.mrspagheti Access Denied :(
I am very unhappy about this as well. At least in California, PG&E rates don't go down until midnight, and I have no intention of waiting up until midnight to plug in. I am eagerly waiting for this function to be implemented as promissed.
It's a private thread, restricted to res holders
Perhaps someone would be kind enough to post the "punch list " to this thread! I don't have a res yet either, because I am waiting for the Mod X.
Or maybe the thread will continue to deny access to aliens like Jolinar and I, but I would not think it was that smart. ;^)
I agree with DerekM - this is the most important missing feature to me due to time-of-use power metering.
Taking delivery on Friday!!!
This is an important feature, but I wouldn't associate a smaller, less critical, feature getting deployed with this not being a priority.
It may be a QA thing, and they are working on it. It may be part of a larger, more complex build that is coming. I know it will come, but also I live in CT, where I don't have variable rates.
Mike; It still may be desirable to "schedule" to keep the lights from dimming and the computer from choking‼ ;)
An electrician can install a separate charge timer, but it resonated throughout my townhouse to my bedroom, just above the garage. It did work though. It came in a little Gray (steel) Box.
