Any others in Dallas?
I believe J King had major scratches on his roof and had them fixed. Not sure the process and contact he used to get it fixed but it looked brand new at the meet on Sunday. May want to get some advice from him as well.
@terk - Here is a thread of a similar nature and the end result. Stay on it and I'm sure Tesla will fix it.
Has anyone had any TollTag issues? I placed the sticker below the rearview mirror (just below the blacked out portion); however, it is not being read. That would not be a huge issue (NTTA also scans the license plate), except that the gate in my office's parking garage can also works off of the TollTag.

Summary is try the 'black dot' area to the *right* of the rear view mirror, not below the mirror. If that doesn't work there are some other options tolltag can supply.
@sandman - Thanks for the thread and input about @J King. Also, really appreciate the name and contact for the local service rep, I have called and left a message. I am working with Tesla to get it resolved because I cannot imagine others having to go through this and I certainly did not pay for the "personal delivery" for this mess.
On the other hand, the car is a crazy joy to drive. Was hilarious going to get it inspected this morning. For those who have yet to do it, they do not have to drive it (at least the Car Spa in Farmers Branch at Beltline and Marsh Lane did not) just FYI. They do however really appreciate you letting them sit in it and showing them the features, that was pretty fun...
Just got my tolltag also so will have to read up on the proper place to put it.
I REALLY think it is important to relay the drivers name and license numbers back to Tesla. If they are worth their salt they will follow through with the complaint so drivers are better trained in future deliveries.
@Shannon - Great point and believe me, I am relaying all kinds of feedback to Tesla! In the end the problem is that the drivers are truck drivers that are just transporting cars and they really have no interest, buy-in, or concern with what we think of the delivery process. As long as they drop the car and we sign the paper work so they can leave they are good. But needless to say, yes, very good advice and I will be sure to pass on the specifics to as high a level in Tesla as I can get to.
One warning to all - Make sure you inspect your vehicle! My driver, after getting quite angry with me when I pointed out a scratch saying that I could not write it down because he would have to pay for it, tried to get me to sign immediately without me looking at the car. It was only after I was very clear as to what he could do while I did my inspection that he backed off. So just be prepared to go over your car closely. Also, if your car is as dirty as mine was when it arrived it will be very hard to tell if it has a scratch so look closely and make the driver wait no matter how long it takes.
I will say that we are all going to be very happy with the Dallas service manager, Jack Baston, as once he and I spoke he was all over making things right. So if you have any issues, reach out to him and he has convinced me that he will fix it.
Rumor has it they've hired the detailer for the Tesla Service shop. It's the guy who has fixed the Dallas cars delivered with scratches. So that's good news!
Yes - Brian was considering working for Tesla full time when he detailed my car. He is outstanding - good news for all Dallas owners. He owns Detailwerks but they are going to let him keep that on the side.

I had Brian with DetailWerkz (972-880-7277) out today to detail my car. He did the best job I have ever seen and REALLY knows his stuff and was very friendly. Highly recommend him and in fact am going to have him back out to detail out my wife's Volvo. I did not know it was possible to do what he did to make the car shine the way it does, simply amazing... and he took out all of the scratches and also got the dirt and grime the delivery guy got on the inside of the car. By the way, I wanted to let everyone know that there is a software update (v4.2) available that has solved some of the bugs I ran into. For example, driving home yesterday the radio would not work and the hard reset that they walked me through did not fully solve that problem. So I would recommend the updated software. If you call the service line they will push it to you.
The hard reset is quite easy should anyone want to do it to try as a possible fix: - make sure the car is in park - make sure you do not need to go anywhere for about 10 minutes - hold down both trackballs on the steering wheel at the same time until the main screen goes black - release the trackballs - it should take about 10 minutes (at least it did for me) to reset itself
I have hired a company called Lentz to do my electrical work. I first was exposed to them when they did my home lighting. They took the training to do Ford EV work and want very much to become the DFW Tesla install rep for AC work. The reason I hired them is they are VERY conscientious, though more expensive than a buttcrack electrician. My meter is 100 ft away on my house so they are having to pull lots of wire and it is way more major than I had hoped. Also, I had my garage floors done by a kick ass company called Garaginization in Dallas. Very professional and they too are extremely conscientious. Hope this helps for those of you who may be turning your garages into nurseries.
Just wanted to give everyone an update on my delivery experience. As I mentioned before I had said I would be reaching out to them to make sure that they knew first hand the challenges that I was faced with during delivery. Well, I was very pleased today to receive a call from Seneca, the Central States Delivery Manager (sorry Seneca if I am getting your title wrong), essentially the gentleman who is in charge of all of our deliveries. We had a very productive call and I left the conversation with a firm understanding that they know exactly the issues and challenges we are facing and that they are putting in direct corrective action to fix them. So please know, he hears our challenges, agrees that they have been unacceptable, and is implementing corrective measure. He and I also worked out all of my issues with my delivery so I am confident that if you all run into challenges that he will be the first one to step in and fix them.
Just thought you all would like to know, especially those still waiting to get their cars.

I'm in the Houston area - but looking to travel to Austin and Dallas. Austin's doable with an overnight stay at a hotel with a charger.
The drive from where I live in Houston to where I want to go to Dallas is 280 miles - outside of the Model S range at highway speeds - and may not be practical until there's a supercharger.

Anyone know an electrician to grapevine area? I have yet to hear from Mr. Electric. Right now my order says Feb, March, but I am being told it will probably March or even April. I'd rather not wait too long. Any ideas?
