Have you seen an S on the road today?

My wife and I, waiting for our S, play a silly game: "Seen a S today on the road?" Then we look at where we saw them. So far I have the record: just 2 in a day so far. All but one were in the mid-peninsula area. One black one seen entering I85 in Cupertino. Somehow it is satisfying to me to see them showing up. None seen so far appear to be demos: no copilot. Res number P7214 with Feb-Mar est delivery.

I saw four different Signature Red Teslas (three performance) in Los Altos and a fifth Silver at the car wash in Mountain View, CA! All today, which is certainly a same day record for me. I am surely near the epicenter of delivered Teslas here in Silicon Valley since I see at least one or two a day, not including the silver performance with the biffed rear wheel I often see at the daycare drop off...

As we pulled up to China Garden restaurant in Hollister this evening, I parked next to a lovely grey Ms! As I got out of our S, young ladies came out of the restaurant all excited. Their folks own the grey S and a roadster and have an order in for an X. They hadn't seen another S in Hollister! The meal was greatly enhanced with Tesla Talk! And they owned the restaurant.

I was at a job interview at Google in Mountain View last week and saw a white one parked out front of building 40 (there are a bunch of charge points there).

It made me think "now this is the kind of place I'd like to work!"

Two bits was 25¢, children!

As Yogi said, a nickel ain't worth a thin dime these days.

@kauai...which car wash in Mountain view? I'm expecting mine in Feb/March and looking for a car wash place near Mountain View.

Yesterday I saw a grey one driving towards me while I was driving my wife's Sig red. I almost missed him since he didn't have his daylight running lights on. THAT I would have seen!

@ EcLectric - I think I just saw yours in a parking lot off Shoreline Blvd this afternoon (and maybe also on 101 S at 7:30 this morning on my way in to work?). It's beautiful! My 60kWh will be coming in a couple more weeks!!

Not on road, but spotted Tesla in Big Bang Theory end texts. Apparently Galecki owns a Tesla. Probably Roadster though.

(Why on earth they put that series at 2:00AM is beyond me, DVR saves the day)

That's me! It's worth the wait! Any excuse to drive somewhere. I've been giving people at the office rides around the block. I don't even mind the morning traffic. I did order my HOV stickers, though...

Saw SEVEN on the road last night at the same time. All were onboard an open transport truck. I assume they were headed for delivery. They were north bound on I5 heading towards Sacramento just after coming from the Fremont/ factory direction.

Two white, a silver, a grey and 3 darker colours that we couldn't differentiate in the dark.

That was about 8:00pm last night.

Yes, Jan 18th there was a flatbed truck carrying a bluetiful Model S, driving on my street and right up my driveway! Evergreen, CO.

My spousal unit and I put 200 miles on the car the first day. We had a fantastic day, topped off by US Postal Service that delivered a notice from CO Dept of Revenue that my application for the personalized plate KCK GAS was approved. I barely slept last night, as I am preparing to spend another day bonding with Joules.

It was at Lozano. It's on El Camino near San Antonio. Popular with the kids for free fresh popcorn, lemonade, and penny mechanical pony rides. Also shoe shine and barbque. All that said it is your standard car wash so you will gradually pick up the standard very fine scratches and swirls of car washes. I am still trying to decide if I will go all hand wash until I get dings, dents, scratches from parking lots, road trips, etc.

Congratulations Velo1- I am still waiting to see an S (besides my own) out in the wild. I am in Highlands Ranch.

The rules are that the wheels must be touching pavement, and be more than a mile from the factory, a store, or Service Center.

A white one in NYC at 66th and Broadway today! Made me miss mine back home in Philly.

Got a wandering eye, huh?

More like wander-lust...

At Gilroy SC stations last night: our pearl next to two other pearls, then us and two black beauties and another S as we left was just pulling in. Gilroy stations are getting good use!

Saw a dark Tesla Model S in SF today, somewhere between Lombard St and California St. Also saw 3 Roadsters around SF. Drove down Lombard St, the hills of SF are quite interesting, plenty of power for climbing the hills, but did see the Wh go over 1100 at one point!

Saw a black MS turning on to I280N from Alpine Rd yesterday afternoon. We waved at each other and shared our Tesla MS grin. It was a nice experience.
I am seeing at least one MS each day now, besides ours. Nice

In Mt View at 915pm 1.27 just happened to pull behind grey Tesla (did not realize how good the car looks from behind)....

Saw a very pretty grey Model S around San Anselmo today near Sleepy Hollow, passed it twice actually on sir francis drake. Can't wait to get my grey as well, seeing another identical one cruising around minutes from my house was making me jealous! :)

That 1100 is just to remind you nothing is free!

charging 20 miles (in 2 hours) using a J1772 at the (SF) Music Concourse Garage under the California Academy of Sciences was free though! (parking wasn't)

Have not seen a Model S in the wild here in Miami yet, though see them in delivery prep in the Dania Beach Service Centre. I do see Roadsters from time to time, weekly on Biscayne Blvd, twice in Miami Beach.

Seeing them with increased regularity here in Orange County on the coast. Seen 3 in the last week! Mine's due 2/16-3/2 so obviously makes me envious.

Finally saw my first Model S today in Chicago, northbound on South Lake Shore Drive. Signature Red with the license plate TESLA. I passed him up so he could see the license plate on mine: TESLA 1.

It looks like the first S I see out here may?? be mine?? hopefully !!
someday :-(

I was kind of surprised not seeing MS on the South Bay Area freeways except only in one occasion on the Central Express near Mountain View, a beautiful black MS was passing mine and we exchanged MS driver smile and rolled down the windows greeting each other. Interestingly, our CA license plate numbers are identical but last three numbers: one is 270 and another is 350. Wish I can see more fellow Ms drivers traveling on 101 and 280.

Met "Larry" today on the 101 westbound around Balboa/White Oak. Beautiful white Models (same as mine). Beautiful car!!!
