Phone dock / cradle?

I have a friend that has asked me to make them a phone docking station to mount in the center console area just below the USB ports of his Model S. Before I spend any time on this, I wanted to find out if someone has already provided a docking solution for the Model S yet. So is there a product out there yet that is a iPhone / Android phone dock / cradle that syncs with the USB port? I don't want to re-invent the wheel.

What I would create would be made from a solid piece of 6061 aluminum, precision machined to snugly fit in the console area. I've got a cable that has both the Apple lightning connector and the standard Android micro USB connector, so you could use either type of phone. I would probably anodize it black and laser etch the Tesla logo on it. Maybe I'll even make it a little bigger and mill out a pocket as a cup holder, since a lot of people complain about the cup holders.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I plug it into the USB port and twist it. It supports the iPhone 5 perfectly and it angles the phone so it can be seen easily at a glance.

ProClip has two different mounts for the MS. I just got mine in the mail yesterday but won't have my car for another week or two. The one I got mounts to the bottom of the touch screen.

I've had their mounts in a number of different cars and they are great quality and work well. They also have a number of different holders that attach to the mounts that you can use to power the phone.

Lovehandles.com recommends not to twist it (especially with the phone plugged in). I got one of these and tried to twist it. It didn't hold properly. I decided to twist the phone - that was a mistake. It made a crack sound. It still works, but it's loose by the lighting connector.
