on charge point as I write this gettin back to comfort of 145 on charge. charging@ 23 mph 30amps 232vac chargepoint charger.
i did the same trip before with a stsrt of 260 miles and made with 7 to spare (round trip) without the vamp loads.
Cant wait for 4.3 an gettin rid of the vamp load again. I did have the "replace battery" glitch w/ 4.1. They remotely rebooted the car to allow loading of 4.2.

Well charged up and on my way.... This is such a kewl ride!!! Im lovin it and lovin learnin the ropes too!

Haven't gotten mine yet, I'm in the delivery window but haven't gotten a VIN yet. Anyway, based on what you wrote you were on a trip and stopped for a recharge at ChargePoint. How long did your recharge take, how many miles did you gain and how many kWh did you push to the battery. I've got there RFID cards already and seen prices from free to $0.49 to $1.00 hour.

dave;
Your Model S is training you ... ;D

If I understand you correctly, you lost about .54 miles per hour while you were away (30 miles/55:50 hours). Did some of that recover once the batteries were warm?

lov2krz, all I did was bring the charge up from 123 to 145 (ideal range) just to give myself a little buffer for the trip home. Spent 45 minutes gained 22 miles charging cost 2.46 (.49pr kwh). Drove home 62-75 ( 62 mostly) and arrived home with 14 miles left, then went to pick my daughters and arrived home with 1 mile left. The station was charging @ 30 amps. You are gonna LOVE the car, congrats!

jayhicks, when I got back to the car OAT was around 77 and I did the top off charge so I don't know that the batteries were cold. Last time I did the trip I only charged to 260 and arrived home with 14 miles but drove 55-58 pretty much the whole time.

The big dif was the lack of sleep mode due to the software update. Tesla says it will be back soon. They removed it as it was causing a few glitches. I have all confidence it'll be back polished and ready. It is an important feature especially for extended parking scenarios.

Brian H. Yuuuuppp! Luv in it!
