Wh/m very misleading in stop/start traffic

Just a comment: When cruising at speed the Wh/m indication is v. useful, along with the projected range. But yesterday we crawled along Atlantic Blvd in Delray Beach, FL which is basically nose-to-tail stop-start traffic for about a mile. Because you are doing near zero MPH the divisor in the Wh/m calc approaches zero and the number goes through the roof - 900, 1500 - way off screen. One's initial reaction is OMG - what a huge energy use - until you realize it is showing WH/m, not Wh. I guess you just have to pay close attention to the rated range when in traffic and ignore the Wh/m graph.

On the Energy app, tap the "Average" tab rather than the "Instantaneous" tab, and then select a longer distance, e.g., 15 or 30 miles.

Well, how accurate would a miles per gallon indicator be in stop and go traffic?

Yeah, my old car gave instaneous MPG rating, and it was similar. The display only allowed two digit numbers. Whenever I went downhill, the MPG shot up to 99. If I accellerated hard, it would be 2 or 3 MPG.

You're seeing a similar thing in the Model S. Select 'Average' to see your projected range based on the last 5, 15, or 30 miles of driving.

The one annoying thing is that the Energy app remembers your distance selection (5, 15, or 30 miles), but it 'Instant' is always selected eevery time you start the car, even if you selected 'Average' before.
