Tesla Motors uses JavaScript throughout this website to deliver the best possible user experience. As a result some of the pages of the site may function improperly if your browser has JavaScript disabled or does not support JavaScript capabilities.

Though all browsers are different, a JavaScript enable option is usually present in either the security or content areas of the browser's tools menu. We have provided below specific instructions for three industry-standard browsers: Internet Explorer, FireFox, and Safari.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.x, 6.x, and 5.x

  • Open Internet Explorer.
  • Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
  • In Internet Options dialog box select the Security tab.
  • Click Custom level button at bottom right. The Security settings dialog box will pop up.
  • Under Scripting category check the Active Scripting radio box.
  • Click OK twice to close out.
  • Click on the browser refresh button.

FireFox 2.x, 1.5

  • Open FireFox.
  • Select Options from the Tools menu bar.
  • Select the Content tab.
  • Select the Enable JavaScript checkbox.
  • Click the OK button to save settings.
  • Click on the browser refresh button.

Older versions of FireFox

  • Open FireFox.
  • Select Options from the Tools menu bar.
  • Select the Web features tab.
  • Select the Enable JavaScript checkbox.
  • Click the OK button to save settings.
  • Click on the browser refresh button.

Safari (Mac)

  • Open Safari.
  • Select Preferences from the Safari menu.
  • Click Security.
  • Check both Enable Java and Enable Javascript.
  • Click on the OK button.
  • Click on the browser refresh button.

Firefox (Mac)

  • Open Safari.
  • Select Preferences from the Firefox menu.
  • Select the Content tab.
  • Select the Enable JavaScript checkbox.
  • Click the OK button to save settings.
  • Click on the browser refresh button.
