EV IncentivesAs the owner of a zero-emissions Tesla, you may be entitled to a variety of government incentives, depending on where you live. We’ve put together a list of incentives to give you an idea of what’s available in your hometown. Our first effort details states in which the majority of our customers reside, but we’ll continue to add more over time. A couple of things you should know: Many of the incentives require that Tesla Motors certify the vehicle status as an alternative-fuel vehicle on a state-by-state basis. We’ve started this process, but it might take some time. Also, state incentives can be difficult to interpret and are subject to change. We’re working hard to keep the list up to date but would like to enlist your help as well. If you notice we’ve left something off the list or want to share your own EV incentive tips, please post updates to the Incentives forum in our Discussions area. Sacramento offers free parking to individuals or small businesses certified by the city's Office of Small Business Development that own or lease EVs with an EV parking pass in downtown parking lots C, G, H, I, K, P, and R. Free vehicle charging stations are located in lots C,G, H, and I.
