Just got this message from Elon:
All high power connectors now being built include the hanger.
5,000 more hangers are scheduled for delivery in 3 days to Tesla. At that point, we will have enough to send out to all customers that did not get one.

Great, I just got my HPWC two weeks ago and had it installed last Monday; I look forward to the hanger. :-)
Mine showed up yesterday, and hanger looks to be in the box...
Forgot to add: what I don't know is, has the faulty fuse problem been resolved as well. Anybody know if new HWPC's still suffer from this issue?

Received our HPWC yesterday with no hanger and the February shipping note. Hope it doesn't have the fuse issue.
@scaesare. I had my HPWC installation done a month ago, and have had no problems at all. Works great, but still waiting on my wall hanger!

I installed my second HPWC 2 days ago (I received it on 14-May). I ran it at 80A and after about 2 1/2 hours, one of the fuses blew. These are 100A fast acting fuses. I had a 90A fast acting fuse available and replaced it and ran the HPWC at 60A with no problems. The 90A fuse came out of a homebuilt 75A Open EVSE charger that I had built. I was concerned that the Open EVSE charger was running hot and replaced it with the HPWC. The fuses were getting too hot I thought - each dissipating 5W. But they never blew.
is it a fuse problem or a problem with the software in the car that regulates the charging. I know that they have limited charging to 40A until the fix, but what will it be?
Sorry, limited to 60 amps. (Don't have my car yet).

I would image it's a fuse problem. There are two reasons, I believe: The fuses tend to get hot under load and possibly overheat and burn out. And the car seems to regulate the current pretty well and is not drawing anything over 80A. The fuses are rated at 100A.
I'm not sure if the fuses are required for UL approval, but two copper bus bars could replace the fuses, since the HPWC is connect to a circuit breaker.
HPWC 60 A being fixed in next software update. The car was pulling charge to quickly in the ramp up to 80A, causing the fuse to blow. New software will have it ramp up slowly, and will restore our default 80A charging.
Someone please post if Tesla mails you your hangar, or do we need to pester our local service guys....

The fuse is rated for 100A. If it ramped up quickly to 80A, then it would not matter, since the fuse should be able to handle it. Exactly what does ramped up quickly actually mean? My HPWC ran for 2 1/2 hours and then the fuse blew. Was that a ramp up that was too quick? I don't think so. I have another HPWC that ramps up just as fast to 80A and the fuse does not blow.
Update. Just talked to a delivery specialist and, for what is is worth, he said the issue was with the HPWC not the software in the car. according to him, Tesla is still investigating the reason for the issue and will have some sort of fix "soon."

Agreed that this shouldn't be a car software issue, unless it's one where the car is _EXCEEDING_ 100A of inrush current... which doesn't sound to be the case as the fuses are blowing after being charging for several hours.
I've seen reports elsewhere that the HPWC's run hot... I suspect there may be an issue with internal temps derating the fuses, and thus the problem...
Already got/installed my HPWC, bought a hose hangar but not putting it up in anticipation of receiving the Tesla hangar. Yes, please post if you receive yours so that we will know it is being shipped.
Interesting. I had my friend install my hpwc and still have not had my fuses tripped. I always immediately set the charge up to 80 amps. I'm starting to suspect that wire used was not sufficient or the install was done improperly... What kind of wire and distance was used for your particular install?
Hmmm... Buying a new house and want to put an HPWC outside (no garage). Would prefer not to have to pay an electrician to come back later because they've recalled the HPWC and it has to be replaced. I hope they resolve this soon.
Doesn't seem like the hangar is on its way since no one posted that they received it after getting their HPWC. Guess I'll bite the bullet and put up the hose hangar.
Ordered mine yesterday and got it today ($2 more for overnight shipping). Hanger is in the box.

My info on the software fix came from our Tesla service manager, not my own theorizing. He spoke with confidence - whether that makes him right is for others to judge. Mine works fine no matter what setting, and I think mine was one of the first few sent out.
More pressing to me is the hanger. Sounds like they are making them so time to ask our local Tesla manager for one.....
