LEAF charger

I have finally gotten my Roadster charging successfully at Chargepoint stations (the w local Chargepoints wouldn't work until they replaced their hardware at them recently). Now my only problem is charging at a Nissan Leaf charger. Has anyone done this successfullly (eg, at a Nissan dealership), and if so, is there anything in particular you did? I have tried at 2 different dealerships and tried limiting the amperage without success.

Bedankt!

I was under the impression the Nissan chargers didn't have a high enough output for a Tesla car to make use of.

The cars themselves only draw 1.5 kW or so, so I guess they don't bother putting in bigger chargers. This is silly, though, because the newer version of the Leaf is supposed to be capable of higher charging rates.

I have charged at several Nissan dealerships with no problem. I did have to have a firware upgrade for the Aero chargers but I received that over a year ago in my 1.5.

The Nissan charges I have all seen are crippled at 30 amps like all other public J1772 chargers I have seen.

Most J1772 "chargers" are set to 32 amps or below because the connectors are only rated for that. A connector that can handle higher currents costs significantly more. And because most EV historically charged at 6.6kW or less, they had no reason to make the connectors any larger.
